How would you clean magnetic screwdriver bits?
I have a set of magnetic screwdrive bits for a pc tool kit that have developed rust or whatever on the surface of them. How would I go about cleaning these off?
THrow the whole lot into bin of WD-40. Soak. Remove them to sit on newspapers to drain & dry. Finally wipe dry with lint-free cloth. Coat them with light machine oil. Mopping each with ball of gauze, wet with light machine-oil will also remove residual iron filing stuck to the magnetised tips.
