Milwaukee Cordless Drill grip has dissolved to mush, any idea why?
My Milwaukee Cordless Drill has (had) a rubber coating on the grip. Over time (~8 yrs) this rubber has deteriorated totally, turning to sticky, gummy mush. I had to scrape it all off, otherwise it would turn my hands black every time I use it. The drill hasn't had a hard life, usually kept in its carrying case in my garage. Has anybody else experienced this? I know a lot of tools have this type of grip so it must work pretty well. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

you might have came in contact with a desolving agent like gasoline, paint thinner, oil,etc.
